I first started working for JPC back in May 2010. I can still remember my first day as if it was yesterday because I was so nervous as it was my first job since leaving school. I didn't want to mess up on my first day and I remember walking through the doors to my place of work and not knowing what to expect, or what I may be needed to do but luckily I was a quick learner and soon my nerves settled.
After working for JPC for a while, I was given an incredible opportunity by the directors to move to a different site so I could expand my knowledge and skills working on different tasks and serving members of the public.
I was given so many opportunities over the next few years working my way through a number of sites expanding and gaining more knowledge. I was recognised by the directors as having grown since the first day, and provided me with the opportunity to become a manager of my own site, and whilst I was nervous I was more than ready to take on the challenge and was rewarded for my hard work which made it all worth while.
Since then, I have gone on to manage another two sites and I am now looking after an incredible site which recently received a renovation. I love the new look and everything that has been done on site to create exciting experiences for our customers. I am looking forward to the year ahead after overcoming the pandemic during which myself, my site and JPC as a business has come out from the other side stronger than ever with even more exciting times ahead. Before, during and after the pandemic the directors have been extremely supportive and are amazing employers who throughout my time at the company have continued to give me opportunities to grow, and work as part of an amazing team who are all treated like one family. I have been given trust over the years to represent a business I am extremely proud to have worked for for so long, being given the opportunity to work on event catering and meeting celebrities, to being taught new skills and experiences. Without the support of the directors, I don’t think I would be able to do as well as I am today.
I’d like to say a massive thank you to the directors for their guidance and support over the years and the laughter and memories we have all shared within the team. I am proud to be a member of the team for so long, and on the 13th anniversary looking back, I am looking forward to another 13 years of success and making more memories.
