We thought it would be fun to give you a preview behind the scenes at a Just Perfect Wedding, our preview today is from a wonderful wedding at The Grand Pavilion in Porthcawl; a stunning venue based on the sea front.
At The Grand Pavilion the beautiful ballroom is where the magic happens, behind the curtain is where our team get to work and make sure that the day runs smoothly by planning and plating up the delicious meals for the happy couple and guests.
While the wedding party enjoy the ballroom our team are waiting behind the scenes.... It begins with.....
- Our chefs setting up the food
- Then our waiters/waitresses will queue up ready with dishes
- The chefs will then serve the meals on the plates ready for the waiters/waitresses to serve
You can see below that when our team have the meals plated up they will form an orderly queue, ready to be told which table to start with and how many guests are on it, most importantly, if there are any dietary requirements.
When they approach the tables they serve from the right hand side of the guest. (A tip for anyone that didn't know that)
After all of the tables have been served the guests are left to enjoy their meals, our team will then wait for the next signal to go and collect the plates (from the left hand side of the guest) ready to give to ..... the dish scraper, who is waiting to scrape and stack the plates.
Now, to be a dish scraper you need to be.... organised, focused and ready to roll.... On this occasion our Marketing Assistant was in charge of this... we must say, she got the job done in a flash with help from a member of the team of course.
We hope you have enjoyed reading about how the food is served at our weddings, we thought we would give you an idea of how it works and what our team do.
So at the end of all of the serving, retrieving and dish scraping, our team are still able to crack a smile and keep in good spirits, after all, who doesn't love a wedding?
